Sales and Program Director

Position Overview: The Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce has an immediate opening for a self-motivated staff member to direct sales for all Chamber services and events, as well as manage the MEXPORT trade show.

 Key Job Requirements:

1)      2+ years experience in marketing, sales and/or development;

2)      2+ years experience in information technology support tools (e.g. database management, CRM, MS Office etc.)

3)      Experience using and communicating in social networks, blogs, and content sharing communities including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Linked In.

4)      Experience creating and executing a social media strategy that builds fan base, increases engagement and drives sales.

5)      Desire to seek out and recommend process improvements.

6)      Basic knowledge of web analytics

7)      Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish

8)      Must be able to organize and schedule a high workload efficiently.

9)      Must have flexible and friendly personality to interface closely with members  

10)  Project Management skills

11)  Strong Organizational skills

12)  Travel to Baja California for meetings

13)  Business, Marketing or IT degree required

Preferred Requirements

      

1)      Knowledge of business issues in the San Diego/Tijuana region

 

Responsibilities include:

• Sales of new memberships and renewals of existing membership based on annual sales goals
• Development and maintenance of membership services, including coordination of membership programs, membership committee meetings and membership communications
• Sale of corporate sponsorships for all Chamber programs, including MEXPORT trade show event
• Assisting in event program development
• Market Chamber events in trade shows; meetings and other venues
• Develop and maintain effective social media strategies, tactics and best practices and communicate to members.
• Identify and integrate emerging social media technologies and trends to support continuing growth of membership and other Chamber programs
• Project Management for MEXPORT trade show
• Other duties as required
